Pre-Planning
A free day in a new city, what do you do first?
Ideal number of new places to sleep in, per week?
What ruins a trip fastest, for you?
Night trains: are they part of the plan?
Where will you usually stay?
This is what lets us give you a realistic cost range later, not a generic guess.
Pick your dates, and we'll work out the trip length.
Good to know before you pick: July and August, plus the Christmas and New Year week, are peak season, with higher prices and busier trains.
May, June, September, and October are shoulder season, the best balance of value and crowds. Everything else is quieter and cheaper.
This shapes room costs and pass pricing later on.
Interrail and Eurail price three age tiers differently: this is what makes the pass cost per person accurate, instead of assuming everyone pays the same rate.
This changes how we check your route later on.
Start with two, and add more only if your trip needs them.
Each city defaults to what fits your travel pace, type a number next to it to override, so we can tell you later whether your trip has enough days.
Riding a named scenic train? (optional)
Free checks, based on your cities and trip length.
One purchase covers every check for your trip.
How we check this
Backtracking and day-budget checks are calculated directly from your dates and distances, we stand fully behind that math. Route connections are drawn from a hand-checked reference map, not live timetables, always confirm any leg flagged "unverified" with Interrail/Eurail's official planner before booking.
